I decided Id post a small update!

Ive fixed the leak in the boot (at last) so today I was able to put all the carpets back in!
Also took the piece of the bumper that covers up the towing hook thingy off another golf and stuck it on mine, looks neater now

Rear window demister dosent work even though the switch is working and there's power going to the back window, our theory is that the lines that are going across the window are broken in spots and thats why its not working. I put rain X on it (at least i think thats what its called) and it dosent fog up so im happy out.

Just taxed it and it needs a new battery so Im getting german plates next week I think if I have the money and that will be it for a little while, Santa might bring me a few bits if im good lol

Oh and I know this pic is poor quality but I loved the look of it so I spent a little while in photoshop on it,

I thought id do a little update, got a new battery and replaced my dipped light bulbs with 100w bulbs so I can actually see where im going now

Am pleased with the results so im going to replace the high beams with 100w bulbs and do a relay mod as well. Have been told that the 100w bulbs could do damage to my lamps and burn out the switch in the dash, im doing it regardless.
Exhaust broke the other night, the noise off it

Is partly welding, sunroof is leaking and boot is leaking too (again), water water everywhere!

Love the car anyway.. Ive the same puddle everywhere problem. Look up about mk3 pollen filter leaks and that should help

true as long as the driver is dry thats all that matters!
Yeah I had damp carpets in the same place, but at the time the passenger side rear lamp was leaking, when I fixed that lamp the damp patch dryed out and went away so I just figured that the water was running out of the lamp into the boot and then down in behind the seats and onto the floor

, havent checked the carpets in the back in a while actually,Its rare people are in the back of my car cause any weight at all and the rubbing is cruel!

Cant put them on till after the nct re-test, car failed on lots of stuff half of which I expected anyway one thing I didnt expect was that id have to take off the wheels because there too wide. In my personal opinion there not that wide.....

Well anyway after all the work is done for the re-test the german style plates will be going on, rear speakers wired up front ones replaced, roof racks, debadged grill one or two custom made stickers. That"ll do it for a while then.

Well car passed its nct retest today, I wont bore you all with pictures of what needed to be done basically it was my brakes, shocks, tyres, lights and airbag light that needed some attention

So it has a fresh nct and Its german plates were put on this evening

I got a set of clarion speakers from a suzuki grand vitara for the doors which are great little speakers, they dont fit in well though in place of the orinigal speakers. Wired up the jvc's in the parcel shelf and well there nothing to write home about the buzzing outta them is cruel, infact the would sound setup in the car is awful, I wish i had just saved up and bought a set of good speakers a good amp , but I guess you live and learn, all my monies have gone elsewhere on the car.

So next is to fix the cruel sound, debadge grill and finally roofracks and then thats it as im moving away.
So some pictures ,will get more up when its washed and maybe has the grill and roofracks
