Sorry to hear about that.

Quick question though. Say your friend see's it in Mondello being used by someone, regardless of whether they stole it or bought it legit of the thief, what can you really do about it? Its not like a car, where its actually registered to someone, so they are the clear lawful owners? The preson who has it could simply say piss off! Would there be any legal standings in that sort of situation to prove that the trailer is infact your friends.

Sorry, its just something I thought about when I read this.

I'll put this up on driftireland.

good quality trailers and transporters like brian james and ivor williams all usually come with a serial code which you can register to your name so it can be identified as yours BUT some professional thieves (a.k.a scum!) who steal these kind of expensive trailers regularly will be wise to this and would probably grind off the serial number and id plate!

so a good idea if you own one of these and are afraid its gonna get lifted on ya is to put an easily identifiable permant mark, signature or stamp some where on the trailer they would never look so it can be identified by this. for example your initials marked or punched onto the metal some how in a discrete place

Or ya could just lock it up and make sure it doesnt get stolen!

you in a filling station because it's handier for you, leave it where it is.

I'll meet ya in the back of the filling station car park boss, anytime as long as it's dark. The ID plate fell off when we hit a pothole, a good trailor sir.
