Got my S4 serviced by autowerks today and they did a top job.
Their garage is modern, clean and they know there stuff. They have a nice shop and waiting area, it's a really professional set-up.
I would recommend to any VAG owners. I'll be going back there.

Can only second this!! Autowerks have been excellent so far with the rado. It's reassuring to have somebody work on your car who's as passionate about VAG cars as you are youreself.....

You'd be mad to go to a main dealer with these guys available. Great service and they won't rob you either.... Well done to Alan and the lads down in midleton!

What sort of hourly rates do they charge?

All I can say is that I was pleasantly suprised and this only adds to VAG ownership.
Main dealers charging 80-90 euro an hour labour is just greed. My S4 is a great car but Audi would then continue to fleece you throughtout ownership on servicing alone.

I'm sure if you phone Autowerks they'll give you a price guide for whatever you want done.

I know where the army surplus store is actually meant to go in there to get my Dad a container for Diesel (he runs out every so often and usually in the most awkward of places....fields etc. Will have a look the had a really nice mkii before as far as I remember

I have dealt with the lads in Autowerks for a while now and I won't take my car anywhere else. Not only do they know their stuff, they also have access to a huge amount of gear (car bits. Not drugs). The last time I went main dealer a tatooed lad of around 19 serviced my car and I over heard him saying to a buddy how still pissed he was from the night before and how he got about 3 hours sleep. I ain't paying 70-80 euro an hour for that.

Why do you say that audiboy? If you've had a bad experience then maybe you should explain exactly what happened, otherwise it's a bit unfair to the garage in question.

I'm not going to get into a huge debate about this and i'm not getting into specifics. I've gotten on with my life but my back gets up when I see someone proclaim them as the messiah when they're very naughty boys...

But simply put, having been a regular and loyal customer, they took a woeful attitude when i told them plainly that i wasn't happy about giving them a fortune for mis-diagnosing a problem that was subsequently diagnosed in an hour by an expert.

Many a day did I travel 3 hours to Bridgewater in the UK to TSR. When I was living in the UK and in The Club GTI scene, TSR were THE mechanics to take your car to (these were the days when Tim Styles was in charge). Most of the work they did was carried out on my old MK2 and still believe that was the best car I'd ever owned. Finding someone who not only specialize in VAG (outside of main dealers) but who are also agents for TSR was a lucky find and the work they have done for me so far on all my cars has been spot on.

I've never had any dealings with autowerks so can't comment on them directly. However, as far as I'm concerned someone having a connection with TSR is a black mark against them straight away. A lot of the TSR stuff is over-priced and over-rated in my opinion.

Geo, what stuff have you bought from TSR that lead to the comments above?

I've no complaints from anything I've bought from TSR, and wouldn't give my VAG fleet to anyone else to work on other than autowerks.
