ronan, just fix whatevers wrong with the qp loom, prob a connection or something simple, especially if your not keeping the car? or are you keeping it now?

it just wrecking my head i cant figure it out it drives grand and than it just dies for a sec if i get it sorted i wont sell the loom

Lads - the lads a trier and did all the work himself, fairplay to him, hes in college, saved up for all the stuff himself too. Give the lad a break.

 

qp use the factory loom, all they do is put a different connector on it (i bought the diy kit, thats how i know). i have a feeling there is a problem with the the factory loom before qp got it. they use a mbe ecu so i doubt its that. when my brother did his 20vt corrado (using dta) it ran bad until it got properly mapped by martin tracy.

dont sell the kit and get the car to westward as soon as possible

 

ronan did you send joesoap a pm,i'd say he'll be able to help ya out.he has a mk2 20vt aswell.or even look in project cars see what loom he used etc

car was fine until a few days ago, it feels very like failing coilpacks to drive, all other senders seem ok, 3+4 seem to be gone weak as idle sound doesent change much when there disconnected. all 4 injectors are fine, thats my thinking anyway in the short time i got to look at the car.

 

i have 4 good coil packs if he wants to drop over and give them a try if there the bolt in type. they wont work if they are the push in ones.

ya hes got bolt in's ill txt him and tell him sure, do you know for a fact there 100% as in were you in the car they came out of?
if it aint them hes going to have to get the comm lead and see whats up..

 

ive had the engine running on qpeng in my corrado and it was working perfect.

 

also is the car mobile, it would be handy if he could get it down to the house. me and my bro could try the coil packs and have a good look over everything. theres 5 yokes around the house with 20v's in them so were well used to them.
