Picked it up this morning, crawled from Duffy's to Ballsbridge in an hour and 10 mins (God bless the auto box!) and that's all I've done in it so don't ask me how it drives

I do already know that the sound off the engine is just beautiful and on the one chance I got to give it a quick blast the roar off it really made me feel I had made the right choice - the S3 was always going to be a hard car to replace and I think this is more than up to the job.

and best of luck with it, keep it between the ditches

run flats are a pain mark esp on 19s i will bet money that if you keep the car a year (no joking) that you will have the tyres changed.

Well wear though

Being a demo, it has 8,000kms on it so I'd say in another 8 the tyres (the rear ones anyway) will be gone - I'll look at them then but I drove around Sir John Rogersons quay this morning and I was wincing at all the potholes.

I'll get proper pics of interior etc at the weekend.

If I even talk about another car next year, I want to get abused lads.

ride comfort isn't the only problem with them the bro in law had fierce trouble with the Low pressure/flat tyre warning light coming on,going to get it fixed only to be told he had a slow puncture or there was a nail in the tyre and run flats couldn't be repaired-hence new tyre! i told him when he bought it to change them,he eventually changed them last week and he said the difference in ride comfort is very good!

Looks well. Enjoy it.

It would be rude not to bring it to Gandon

Can you post some interior shots.

Lads - those of you that go out on a Sat night - how much do you spend from start to finish? Drink, drink, chipper, taxi and maybe Durex
Image
?? 150 quid?

Point taken. I dont get laid all that often when i'm on the beer so take a few quid off the durex and it's about €147 i recon!

Ah no, look I'd be a mug if I thought this was a cheap habit but I just love cars beyond the point that most people unlike ourselves cannot get!

But seriously if you take 4 saturdays in a month, then that's more than what the BM is costing me a month as I was lucky enough to throw a lot of money into it from the S3.

Lovely looking car Mark, Best of luck with it, I was out test driving its big brother today, I must say the 530D M sport is a sweet machine too.

I better get that Porsche Boxster instead of the ///M3 quick before I change the Touareg for a 5 series, otherwise I wont be able to come onto VAGdrivers
