My passenger seat isn't working properly. When i lift the handle it tilts ok but doesn't slide forward. I have to manually pull the level under the seat to let people in the back. Any ideas?

I've never had a problem before but sometimes it can get a bit 'sticky'. Try greasing the floor rails up a bit. That might help. Or, sometimes if you don't tilt the seat froward enough, it won't catch

Nah this isn't the answer! It seems its not catching the release when i tilt it forward. The drivers one works perfect.
They seem to be a bit "funny" alright. On my gf's mk5, it's the same, sometimes it slides forward & other times you have to manually pull it forward with the lever doen below. Sorry that's not much use!
I think this is a common enough problem in MKV Golfs, I've read about it before. Unfortunately I believe the solution involves replacing part of the seat frame / runners.
I don't know what the answer is. BUT I spend bloody ages at a seat before that was tuck. In the end it was a pen stuck in the rail that was hard to see
.
So have a look, it might be a simple answer.
