Exhaust Noise

i have just put a new cat wit a full powerflow exhaust system on my mk3 gti 8v.... after driving it home my ears were ringing. he changed one of the boxes its a bit better now, but when you give it a bit of stick its very noisy.... dont like going over 70 now. could there be something wrong wit system or am i just not used to it. any help would be great

im gona change my de-cat pipe this month hopefully for a wider SS box/tube like this

as at the mo its just a stright pipe.

why did you leave the cat in if ya fitted a powerflow? or is it a different cat from the orignal?

I have a 8v aswel and its very nosiey too, ya get used to it lol

left it on for the nct its soon enough. i had a straight pipe on it might d cat it afterwards. something is rattling away under pas seat noticed yday had to drive 8 miles in 2nd gear the clip holding clutch cable gave way.. 6 euro for part the cable is still there so happy days. have you done anything worth while to engine??
