everyone is entitled to their opinion .i wouldnt drive a polo because i think its too small thats my opinion !
in relation to doing cars up and so forth some people cant afford 2 insure gti golfs and higher grades but id defiently agree with saying save up the money for the real thing instead of trying to make something its not .im spending a few pound on a mk4 golf at the moment and is that regarded as a waste and that it will look stupid just because i was thinking of rs6 alloys and a light tint and a bit of lowering ....

the site is suppose to be for all vw ,porsche ,skoda ,seat and audi fans ,not bickerin over whos car is nicer and better !no wonder the english lads would laugh at this bickering .

your car is tasty gavin, its not covered in stickers, vents/bodykit, neons etc. rs6 alloys will look good on it along with a lowering job and perhaps colour code the mouldings that look is known as OEM+ and is favoured by a lot of people, others just dont get it.
you already have the gti brakes and trendline/gti interior so it will look the part, i wish i had a car as nice as that when i was 18

you are missing the point of this particular thread, Craig wants to send in pictures of his little meeting to some english vw magazine, the vast majority of people(and some of those in attendance at said meeting) dont want the pictures submitted as it will give the wrong impresion, we just got sidetracked taking the piss out of that polo thing.

my apolgises i didnt reply to what the main discussion was about and i defiently agree wit wat u and some of the other members are saying ,wait for an event such as vw summer meeting,there will be a vast selection of mk 1s,mk2s,mk3s,mk4s, and other popular vage motors !

Very glad i didnt go on the day! In fairness, the only cars in this country worth a feature in any magazine were either built and already featured in the uk (h20 RUF), or wern't there on the day (Ronans rallye), among other cars. You can stick that polo up your arse!

As for promising every one a picture in PVW?!?! Read VW speed or VW style and then u'll see some proper cars. You can keep you 4 door mk3's and the likes because the truth of it is, there is one one or 3 half deacent cars in this country. Like Ronans rallye, Leon's Mk2 and PD150's Mk1, and an odd Corrado or 2.

The country is still full of 4 door mk4's with RS6 copies that are still in the clouds.

Get real lads. I dont have anything worth a feature and neither do most of u. I really couldnt give a f*ck who i annoy at the drunken post, but a few of ye in a muddy car park dont cut it.

Well done if you had a good day out, as this was the aim of the day, but PVW will laugh at you, as they have before.

Rant over! Anyone for the last few chock ices?

People here dont like feckin big spoilers and cars with shite stuck all over them, thats why everybody is breaking their shite laughing at that Polo.

I've been to loads of meets in the UK (no-rice, londub, Ace Cafe) and while they often do get loads more cars, they still don't always get featured in the mags and who cares! Getting the mags to do features on meets is an absolute nightmare wherever you are or however many cars you get to go. We used to get let down by the magazines so many times.

I had a great day and I'm looking forward to the next one, I'm now trying to convince a few friends with Mk1's and Mk2's and another Skud to bring their cars over for the next meet as I'm sure they'll have a great time too.

OK, before we get into whos the biggest VW head etc etc and opening old wounds, the main crux of this debate is whether or not the photos should be sent or not , there is a poll in general chat, cast your vote and hopefully Craig will go by the result.

like the man in the polo, who got his car slated, im off this site and staying off it, how can a young enthuasiast join when he would be afraid to post or go to a meet, its a vw community,
and how come i was not allowed post all day yesterday on this site!!

@Kev, delete my profile and my posts, i like all vw's like every other enthuasiasts but this sites slating cars instead of offering help when someone is mis-directed is not the way to go, thats my €0.02 of it all
