I got a set from justmatz and wasn't that impressed with them for the money.

Any time I clean them I'm left with a load of tiny fluffy balls. Fitment isn't perfect either. They look great though.

I'd go genuine if I was you.

For fit and durability only vw has the answer in my experience.

 

Interested in seen how much these are off vw wouldnt mind a cream set for myself

 

I've a few sets of justmatz that we got on a group buy here a few years ago
They are the highest grade ones, can't remember the phrase they use.
The pile is a lot heavier that OE VW mats , it'd be as heavy as the OE mats that are in my LS430

 

i got a set of the standard ones in the GB that Ray did for my anni and though tthey were great.

I've a set of Hlafrauds fitted ones in the FUckus and they seem quiet good. Wearing very well also. OE is usally the best i find but they are dear.
Incidently i've an oe set of passat b6 ones here in cream in anyone wants em for beer tokens. They need a good clean but have liittle or no wear on them

I've a set of standard VRS mats in mine with the last 18 months. After 45k miles their still perfect which I'm surprised about as the once in the Golf used be gone after about 6 months or so.

I thought the quality of the justmats premium ones was poor enough. These were mine after a couple of weeks.
Lots of fluff coming off them and starting to wear already.

 

Cheers for all the input lads, have to call to the stealers this coming week for parts, will price a set of mats while I'm there, I'll be avoiding justmatz I think...

 

If the VW ones are as good as the Skoda ones, get them, defiantly worth the money. The vRS ones are the best mats I've ever had.

My bad, got a full set in the dealers for 40 ish, I was happy out with that!

What was the finish like on those Mossey? I want a velor set like the below. Not like the brillo pad set I have at the moment that are a nightmare to vacuum.

 

Isn't there different types of genuine mats, comfortline, baseline, etc...

Any decent mats out there for a mk1 golf?

 

Eh i'll dig out the receipt later on, maybe a part number or something on it. Rubber back lined, nice deep pile, perfect colour and size match. Reinforced heel area. Same as what was took out. They've had a good bit of abuse and hooverings over the time since i got them. And holding out great.

 

Any ideas for stopping the mats moving forward and going up under the pedals? I don't have the corner holes that you see in modern cars...

i bought halfrauds mats "fitted" and they are shite all bent and in buts already id go genuine as the 10 year old mats that were in my yoke before i changed them where in better condition than the 3 week old halfords ones lol
