Cat C is not a badly damaged car AFAIK.

GTI rear, GTI skirts and some 18's and that would be one sweet looking car!

 

Probably not an issue as the pricks will do anything to avoid paying out anyway. As long as the car keeps everyone inside intact who gives a toss really about cash eh!

There is no comeback with a private sale so you wouldn't have had to do that.

 

You should get back on to the garage where you bought it not sure if you would get anywhere pity you didn't do ful hpi check .

Cat c:The car has been involved in an accident and deemed un-economical to repair by the insurance company. The owner then buys back the car off the insurance company and repairs it, re-registers it and sells it on. All perfectly legal.

thursday you said you'd come down this eveing to look at the car, when you said this I was not able to meet today.
I then told you this morning that you had first refusal on the car as you were first to make contact.

later today then I got some-one to mind my 10week old son so was now free this eveining.
I then got contacted buy red_diesel, who was coming down with an amount of cash that would buy the car.
At this point I had no access to the internet and no phonenumber for you , so I couldnt let you know of the change in circumstances

You are damn right I'm not pleased about it. Do you not know the meaning of the term first refusal?

I also don't like when people hang up the phone on me. It's a pretty rude thing to do.

I just tell things like they are and I don't hold back. You were out of order full stop. You gave me first refusal then went back on your word. You should at least be man enough to take a bit of flak from me after that rather than taking the easy option and hanging up on me

I've sold enough cars in my time to know there are a lot of timewasters out there and that holding onto a car for someone can often come back to bite you.

But in this case you told me you weren't free until tomorrow evening for me to look at the car. I originally wanted to go down this evening but you were the one who put it off until tomorrow. Then you told me I had first refusal as I was first person to contact you about it.

So to find out that the car was sold this evening when it was your idea to have me wait until tomorrow to go view it really pissed me off to be honest.

damage is done now, like said above I apologise, probably didnt handle this correctly
