probably wrong, but if it started up ok id imagine the battery is fine

 

i say pop down to halfrauds and get one with a 3year warrenty then abuse the shite out of it usualy they only last about 3 years anyway so keep the recept and job's a good 'un

 

On my second Halfords battery since February (only cause I got a replacement for my first one from then). They'll replace them alright, they even did mine without a receipt, BUT the battery's are fairly sh*te.

I'd go to a local motor factors and spend the money on a good battery and make sure to get a waranty.

 

ya theres different batteries 4 diff cars,i recomend yuasa there probly the best they took over lucas batterys when they closed and depending on the battery model you get a 2 or 3 year warrenty.

 

I reckon about half the batteries that are replaced aren't faulty at all and are replaced due to mis-diagnosis or no diagnosis at all.

It doesn't sound to me like there is anything wrong with your battery. If the battery didn't have sufficient power to operate the windows then there is no way it would have been able to start the engine.

Are you sure the windows weren't frozen which is why they wouldn't work? Then after a few minutes with the heater on they thawed out?

 

Any decent mechanic should be able to test your battery to see what the output is. And if you do need to change i recomend putting in the biggest one which will fit. I recently changed my battery After over 5 years of motering and got a great one for €80 from where i used to work. It retails at €130 incl. vat.
