Her indoors is gettinga set of BBS's (cheers EoinO!) on the wee Polo for Christmas , I'd like to put on longer studs as the OE VW ones seem a bit short....What else has the same thread/taper but is slightly longer? I only need a few as I'd some knocking around...

Bmw bolts are the same thread, the E30, E36 3 series etc. Don't know if they are longer thought. Those wheels were standard on a Mk2 Golf, so try a bolt off a Mk2. But I doubt the Mk2 bolts and the 6N are different.

They are my old wheels and worked perfectly with the standard vw bolts. They are designed to work with the standard ones so longer ones could cause more problems than anything else.

The BMW ones are the same thread but they have a different shape where the bolt sits into the wheel. The BMW ones are flat but the VW ones are curved.

If I were you I'd stick with the standard ones.

Definately don't put longer ones on the back of a Polo if it's on drums. Romantic pressie by the way
