cost me WAY more than 36 blips. and its a bit stressful in install. probably the best mod you'll do though.

 

Cost me £40.53 from VW in the north, thats including all parts to make up loom aswell. Can get you part numbers if needed.

 

Check ebay.de, I paid arounf 36 euro for mine.
Fitting is easy enough once you have the loom, then run a feed to the light switch on the dash. Solder and heat shrink all connections

Fitting is easy alright,you don't even have to solder if you can't or don't have a soldering iron/gun - just splice in and wrap,i would second using heat shrink though to keep it nice and tidy.

 

HERE is where i'm gonna order mine from soon as recommended by one of the DIY guru's off this site!

When you take postage into account thats not going to be the cheapest place to buy. Dealer in the north or ebay.de as Neilo has said would be the place to buy.

Kufatec look for lots of €'s for postage. If I had know it would of been so much for the loom I got for the seats, I would of got all from VW.

 

I don't always remember Kufatec being that dear! they must have crept their prices up lately

There not that expensive, its just their postage charges are mental!!
I got the heated seat loom for the Golf, it was around €50 mark, postage was nearly €25 as far as I can remember!

 

Here's a tip for anyone who has a MK2 Octavia RS with auto dimming mirror. The Toe rag's auto mirror is identicle only it has the extra LED's shining down and it's totally plug and play, no looms no nothing. If you look at the bottom of the RS's mirror you can see the blanks for the LED's.

Yeah but im saying i don't remember their prices or shipping prices being that dear!!

 

Was wondering if anyone here has the vw part number for the w8 interior light please. (without sunroof).
Went to the dealers today to order one and the looks i got!!!! Hadn't a clue and was looking for a chassis number.
Told him i was just upgrading and he told me he could only get if i had a part number. Not helpfull at all.... Didn't even want to do a search for one.

There are different colours available so not sure of the right part number,just tell them to go to 8 cylinder passat on etka,it's not a mk4 part.

edit Neil got there first,just make sure that part number is the right colour for your car.

Part number above should be for the light gray colored one, that's what I have in my car.
