bit of a long one here but................
well today after 7 full weeks ive finally took my bora back from the local vag specialist mechanic!!
coming home from belfast 7 weeks ago i noticed a slight loss in power and then the whole tractor noise started!
took her the next day to the mechanic............
first he tryed to fob me off with dodgy turbo.........
then after a "low compresson test" the engine was diagnoised with being the problem (they replaced timing belt and tensioner 5 months before)
so i bought a newer lower milage 110 tdi engine and they finally after 2 weeks of "sorry were busy and hadnt the time" they had it fitted!
so again after being fobbed off several days in a row with "too busy" i went in and took her home(this was two weeks ago) they told me she was sorted
but on way home she yet again came up with the same problems, noisy engine like a tractor and no power! they told me my vacum pipes wernt connected right so had to take her back.............
then yet again after getting pipes connected they say "thats a ecu or fuel injector pump problem?"
so my old engine was fine then!!!
they would put me on hold for 20 minutes and hang up every time!
raging and desparate for the car back i let them try and finish her..........
again the same old sh$t went on, rang every day to "sorry busy well do it tomorow, can we have your number?" (they had it already)
so today i was fed up and went down and took her home, nothing had been done and when i got her the scuttle panel was lying in a bin with chunks cut out of it and my aero blades and arms also lying in the bin!
she was worse than before and had to be towed home!
really fed up now and dont knwo what route to take!
what could be the fault? and are they legally liable for messing me and the car around?
