Right,

This is to see what sort of interest there is in a trackday for vagdrivers.

This will be a private day and not open to the public. Just to point out this is a HUGE difference.
First of all if you have not been on track and would like to try it, this is a perfect oportunity. Reasons being that you are on a track with other likeminded enthusiasts with a respect for their car and others around them. Also there will be a variety of cars, from the powerful to the not so powerful. for example at the last Octane day there was everything from a Diablo to Lotus elise to a Fiat chicaquento.

The dates that are available for this year as you will understand will be weekdays. If a weekend day is what people really want I can see what dates are available for early spring next year.

The dates are as follows.

August: Thursday 21st
September Tuesday 9th
September Wednesday 10th.

There is the option of the National and the International Circuit.
Prices depend on the amount we get really. But I think this is what we should be going for.

National
Half day 30 entries €152
Full day 30 entries €272

International
Half day 35 entries €200
Half day 40 entries €174

Full Day 35 entries €302
Full Day 40 entries €264

PRICES ARE INCLUSIVE OF VAT AND INSURANCE FOR THE DAY (public liability NOT YOUR CAR) Prices are correct to 1or 2 euro.

The day would be run as an open pit-lane. This means you can go out and come in from track as you wish. With those numbers there will be a nice amount of space on the track.

So what are the views.

QUOTE (ronan @ Jul 7 2008, 01:26 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>would it have to be in a vag car? if not im in. weekday doesnt bother me thats what hollidays are for

Id say it would be okay to bring a non Vag track car as id say paul will want to bring the 172,just waiting for paul to come back to me on it,it might be the case that we keep it vag and see how numbers go.

but more then likely id say itll be okay.

EDIT lads just add ur name to the list,if u want in.

I would be up for this, subject to having something suitable for the day. Wouldnt really be much fun in an X5 or a Touareg, but if I have something rwd and quickish I`ll be there.

I'd be interested, I've done a few track days in recent years, in minis and BMWs.... would like to give the Mk3 a run.... new brakes first I think

Its early days I suppose, but its usually a good idea to run "sessions" in the first hour to give newbies or the nervous type in their 08s some track time to acclimatise, then go open.... in a road/ mild track prepped car you really should only be doing 15 minutes/10 lap sessions unless you've a strong tow rope!!!

This is me, last year in our 1966 mini , its only 850cc..... and it was eh, wet.

as geo said above the International track is well worth the extra money to drive.
