Speaking to my brother earlier and apparently due to the economic situation in the US many guys in clubs etc or guys with multiple cars are starting to offload them.

Coupled with weak dollar deals could be very attractive if you fancied treating yourself to a big engined classic.

If I had the choice I would consider one of the following:

SS (one of my favs and this one had an unbelievable tone from the pipes)

50's Chevy Step-Side pickup Mike running a superchaged lump or an AC Cobra. If you go for a cobra just go down to the local cop shop and hand them ur license!

fook me theres big tyres on some of those rods.
i'd gladly donate a limb to charity in return for a shelby gt 500 (eleanor style) or a 1967 chevrolet corvette stingray, possibly the two most beautiful cars ever made. after the golf mk2 and polo coupe of course.

the classic car scene is full of recent 'imports' due to the weak dollar....

Google Classic Car Mart and http://www.classiccarsforsale.co.uk/classiccars.php

I'm going to the Woodward Cruise back in Detroit in August --- about 40 thousand classics and hot rods --- several sales venues on there too......

Might put a tour together if others are interested???????

no contest, the 350 65 Shelby all day every day.

Is there a local American car club and where do they meet?

Is there also any local parts supplier?

My brother may be selling his Camaro IROC and I'd be tempted to buy and ship over. I think the IROCs are 5.5l.whatever it is the v8 seriously shifts and sounds incredible. We were thinking of taking it on a road trip from west to east and back on Route66.
