this is my 4th year - can't wait
i.ve camped in Tecnoparc , Garage Vert ,Houx, and this year Expo. all ok with good toilets etc. the closer to the paddock the more expensive/ hard to get sites.
passes are also starting to appear on Ebay but be aware of what the face value is etc. some guys asking 2-300 stirling for 80 euro passes

check out the camping maps
http://ticket.lemans.org/aires-d-accueil-s...ns-rg3-pg1.html
if funds allow a grandstand ticket is great for seeing the start/finish - although not essential.
general entrance tickets are available at the gates.

we fly and rent a car / works out cheaper and we're home Sunday night
If you do drive, watch out for Gendarmes speedtraps LeMans week they are everywhere.

some useful sites
www.ten-tenths.com
www.clubarnage.com
www.beermountain.com
or pistonheads for more info.
you can still get camping passes from the ACO on www.lemans.org,
you can order online or phone - they speak English ...

any more info just ask..

(I'm off to Spa 1000KM 7th may too
followed by a trip to Nurburgring may8th)

great stuff - once you go you'll be hooked
What campsite did you go for?

oh, one last thing - when you are driving into the circuit/campsites - especially if it's Friday(aka Mad Friday)
, keep your windows rolled up,
lots of twats with super-soakers about spraying anything that moves.

most sites were fully booked.

Beausejour is the one i booked , and yes it will be friday evening when i am driving down.

i have been to quite a few F1 races over the years ,

Hungaroring 4 times , Indy 3 times , Monza twice , Estoril , Barcalona , Monaco , and of corse Mondello !

this is the first away trip to motorsport with my 10 year old son , so it will either get him hooked or put him off for life !

Did you sort somewhere to stay there after? Was there last week for a night as part of our roadtrip. Stayed in a motel type place called mister bed. Far from anything special
But better than camping. 11.50 each for the night was well worth it. Even if it doubled during the race it'd be dirt cheap.
