i went to loook at a toledo tonight. it had a normal exahust and im nearly sure the diesel pump wasnt turned.
when i reved it up to 4rpm it was small bit very little and then 5 near the limiter she puffed out black smoke!,,
i checked the head then to see a bita oil on the outside,
what should i be aware of of what could be wrong cheersguys
hope this in right section.
also car has full history and has 208k miles on it!

Its a diesel, They do that

, My guess would be that the Egr valve is clogged up and needs cleaning and/or the MAF sensor is fucked.

yea in my opinion all diesel engines throw out black smoke under heavy acceleration, thats normal..
