Do you still think it was slower than old model? Suppose there's only 20 brake in the difference but there's a fair bit more torque? I presume it's the same engine as GTI - not turned down a bit or anything?

Reason I ask all this is I can't say I noticed my car loosening up, it was just 'quick' from the beginning. The only difference is I'm willing to rev it til the redline now whereas I wasn't when new.

I only got the one spin and it definitely didn't feel quick but talking to another guy with a GTI it does seem to take a while to loosen up, hopefully not too long
