QUOTE (APDTDI @ Oct 18 2011, 08:54 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>This car is amazing, The attention to detail is unreal. I'l say i'm not the one one who'd love to see this in the flesh. Car is a credit to you. Cleaner than when i rolled outta the factory i'm certain of it.

dont know bout cleaner but its definately quicker than when it left the factory,
a 94 pajero was faster than it the day i collected it, the 3 speed auto really didnt do much for it

the small details are a pain to get right, but im pretty happy with it now.

scirocco parked for the winter but its still finding ways to torture me,

I neglected my daily while i was pumping money into the scirocco, so i finally brought the bora in for a look over before the nct
a short list of parts i need for it.
Every single bushing, ball joints, track+tie rods, and 4 shocks
discs and pads all round and flexi brake hoses
full service, timing belt water pump

and of course the butter coated pd150 cam and followers for the second time, i can now confirm that the followers only do about 60k before they begin to fail, then they begin to eat the cam and by 70k you need a cam, if it lives for another 50k i might think to replace the followers and save a fortune

the sdi badge is one of the few mods on this car, got it the same time as a remap

also put in nice r32 steering wheel

and the last mod was a wash in 2009 before i drove it to edition, it has a good coating of moss and dirt on it now, im expecting to cut grass on it next summer

it is the new look im calling it the "used look"

I had the Scirocco photographed for the next edition of Retro from the Irish vintage scene,
think its out in early January, cant wait to see how the photos come out
I spent a week solid finishing and cleaning it before the shoot so they are the first photos of it finally finished (for now)

at the extreme opposites!! Immaculate scirocco and filthy bora

Love the sdi badge

love the bora to drive, great power and economy and it looks like an old dirty farmers car, (camouflage)

Id say a lot of people would be saying 'Bloody Nora' when you pass them out!!haha

Good God look at the moss between the tail light & the boot! You'll have a good yield next year me thinks!

the badges are difficult to find and very expensive,
but once you have it installed the difference in power and handling is unbelievable

i would have to recommend them

That is one amazing job !!!must be the nicest car on here!
Fair play to ya for saving it. The brother would still have it lying outside his house if ya didnt buy it!
