Anyone got any opinions on the remaining 3 races of the F1 season. Personally Id like to see him win again, go out on a high. I know a few of my mates on this board cant stand him, but for me he is the greatest driver ever. He has turned Ferrari around in the 10 years he has been with them from also rans to world beaters. F1 will be a poorer place without him next season.

I hope he wins it too, don't know who to support when he goes tho, maybe Raikonen although, Kubica has made a Schumacher-esque entry to the sport.

remember Schumacher's first race in the Jordan in Spa? the TV got some shouting at that day!!

also, Briatore is doing a lot of shite talk for a fella who was kissing Schumacher every 2nd sunday for two years.

hate that wee alonso gimp

laughed when Clarkson said his hair and eyebrows were costing him a second a lap!

I think he will. It's now a 3 race championship, and the pressure is on. Sad to see him go, but the last great left in a coffin, and I would not want to see that again.

Lots of talk about Alonso getting put back to 10th for holding up Massa. Stewards were corect. At Monza, coming into Parabolica, a driver will be carrying in excess of 205 mph. A driver will feel dirty air from 120 metre's behind, and that will cost a few tenth's. Therefore, Massa's lap was interfered with. Passing Heidfeld was a little in the grey area of the regulations.

I think Alonso will crack first, but he is the next big thing. Kimi is very fast, but lack's a little to Alonso in intelligence.

Kubica was brilliant for a GP virgin.

Reckon Kovilinann will out point Fizzy next year.

Yep, the man is a legend. I hope he does it too and I think he just might.
Dont like that alonso gimp either. Kimi has no personality at all it would seem, not important I know for racing but I would be switching off before the post race press conference if he was there all the time.

It defo wont be the same without Schuie alright but as the lads have said there are a few up and coming guys making names for themselves.
Will McLaren be able to give alonso a car to fight for the championship next year though??

I didn't like Schey to start with but I like him more and more each year a bit of a rogue but wouldn't F1 be even more dull without him?.

Kimi no personality? not when he speaks English but apparently is as mad as a hatter, few too many were had here me thinks...

Kimi

Alonso is very clinical but he'll take it to the wire no doubt, should be a good end to the Season, don't mind if who wins it as long as its exciting to watch

No doubt Kimi can make Irvine look like choir boy. He was seen on a beach in Spain, fairly pissed with an inflatable dolphin for company. Later on he got reprimanded by McLaren for that and having lap dance's in London ( nothing to do with Lapland). It wasn't the image that McLaren wanted from there driver's, according to a press release.

Was never a great lover of Shuie, but always admired him. Would love to see him finishing a fantastic career on a high note, he deserves it.

On another F1 note, did any of ye see Damon Hill on Sky News last night....Damn... that man could be a spokesman for Grecian 2000!!

I'd like to schuey quit as champion again. He seems to have that edge, whatever it is. The pity about him quitting is that we won't get to see him head to head with kimi in the same car.

I think kimi has the edge over alonso, and he must be so pissed off with all the failures & retirements with mclaren. He's started halfway down the grid in a lot of races ran longer, fewer stops, and got into the top 3, then bang, something on the car fails. It will be interesting to see how he does with ferrari, and how he compares to massa, who has been doing quite well i think.

Whats the story with the renault suspension/aero stuff that was banned ... how come there is no penalty for having used it before ? I think if that was ferrari there would have been a penalty, not just "well dont use it any more then" ?

good race today, funny how renault had 2 HUGE cock ups and made Alonso loose his 20 second lead!

was thinking the same thing myself, sometimes the championships seem to end in a "made for tv" kind of way...

the Ferrari team denied Irvine the 1999 championship with a 20 second wheel change at the nurmberg race too

heard on the radio today where Alonso is dissing on his team and saying Fisi sabotaged his championship...

he spent a few days complaining about michelin too.

Schumacher will be loving this, watching Alonso loosing the rag so close to the end.

if alonso looses the rag he's gone but if he keeps his mouth shut and keeps his mind on the track then he has a chance
