It was held at St Anne's Park in Raheny. Theres another round on Sunday week 27th July.
Track locations here, http://maps.google.com/maps/ms?ie=UTF8&amp....130859&z=7

If any of you are around Mother Hubbards in Galway next Sunday 20th theres a National Buggy Round being held.

I qualified 4th, start of the race was not great. The day had got cooler so the engine tuning was off. I had to pit 2-3 times to make adjustments. It was flying then but I went too deep into chicane and hit the gate. Car was put back on but going a bit mad with interference so I'd no control of it. It went off last corner, Marshall put back on but again was out of control, I accelerated to get out of the way of other cars coming through, with the interference I hit the pitlane sleeper ripping the front left hand corner off the car. Game over.

I think it was a not fully charged battery that caused the problem.

Unfortunate.....

At the end of the day it was my own fault in not having the battery charged.

I was running mid field before the crash see no.4 , http://rc-racingireland.com/results/Nats%2...15/fpplh2r1.htm

QUOTE (Insomniac @ Jul 15 2008, 03:37 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>Cool, Gaffer you running with ORCA? What's the racing like? I've a bunch of leccy Tamiya stuff at home, I sued to be involved with the lads in FMCC in fermoy, but that was when I lived in Cork.

Yea with Orca, racing is good but we need to sort out some basic issues. Theres been a decline in the numbers this year but last year there was easily 16-20 1/10 drivers, this year barely making 10. The 1/8's have got more popular

Theres a big day up north this weekend for electrics as part of a 3 round series, http://www.itcseries.com/

QUOTE (byrno @ Jul 16 2008, 01:10 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>what do you think of the new rc track in the mdl in Navan?

Fantastic facility but its tough, probably too tough for beginners. Theres a lot of jumps and it takes time to get used to them, unfortuately going from Car to Buggy to Car makes it difficult to get back into a driving rythm as its an art.

I think the lads are looking into it though.

I know a guy in Castlebar who'll be visiting me in a few weeks so could get them sent down to Castlebar for you if your interested. Although its nice to see exactly whats in stock.
