Centre exhaust mount bracket broken? or has it been recently repaired??

 

The backbox was completely broken off from the rest of the system and was literally hanging from the fixings, got a local mechanic to gas weld the pipe back on so this could be it maybe.

Car needs a CV joint so might get this done along with that just before i throw it up on donedeal, noise seems to be coming from underneath me as opposed to the engine bay area

The center exhaust bracket breaks just beside the middle box. Usually you just weld them and its fine but one or two Octavia's ive seen where its been welded at a different angle or wrong and makes the car vibrate as its putting stress on the exhaust.

 

Thanks Eoghan i will point it out when i next bring it to my mechanic and tell him to drive it around abit to see what i mean
