Project Mk2 Oem ++!

Ok started on this at last , plan is to hit edition 38 with it in sept , headin over with my buddy on here CBR VW big talk going on at the mo
he's building a mk1 vr6 supercharged , serious competition!!

heres the plan

mk2 big bumper , pure oem look outside
16" bbs rs's
full 2.0 tfsi engine and dsg gearbox
mk5 dash , clocks full wiring loom
hoping for k04 if funds allow
i bought a full mk5 gti crashed so will have all bits / brackets i will need

so tacked in mk5 engine mounts , strengthened both mk2 legs plated on top and sides

had to modify pass side mount a nice bit but worked out well , trial fitted plant
welded in base plate for fuse box and main earth lug.
aiming for a factory look under the bonnet so will be fitting battery box , fuse box , air con pipes etc

There was a great read in PVW a few months back on how to get the TFSI engine to run correctly in a mk2, including what to do with the clocks, Whats needed and what not, It was the one with the guy from The Phirms's TFSI'd MK2 on the front cover, IIRC there is only a handful running properly in Europe, there is many being built but only a handful are running properly, Will be keeping an eye on this.
