always wanted to make one, so seen a vento lyin up an got fed up lookin at it sittin there so i bought it, its diesel but maybe next year i'll vr6 it il see what funds
are like, its stayin the solid red thats on it nothin crazy, just some nice tidy bodywork, i got it monday evenin, first on the list: lower it! i just couldn't bear look at it so high so i dropped it, so far i have the two b posts removed and the quarters removed. its ready now for the doors and quarters, im gettin a pair of doors off richie at the weekend but still need quarters. if i get them at the weekend plan is to have it welded up by next friday and horse into the bodywork, pics so far;

it was the racing seat covers that did it for me

smoothed the vw badge on the boot, all welded sections are to be filled over with body solder not filler

i always hate openin the petrol cap on my mk3 so i made a finger hole thing/yoke for the cap, should be a bit different

im also looking for a late mk3 cabriolet front end and a 3 door shell if someone is scrappin one an willin to let me at it with a consaw i need quarters and b posts, if so in the meath area ring 0851053740

give will_c a shout,
he has a white shell only fit for scrap and i'm sure you'd be welcome to a few panels.
not sure what condition the quarters are (the roof is full of holes

Wesley H has a 3dr breaker he would probably let you at.

Geo has a 3dr vr breaker you can definitely chop up but one of the quarter panels is fucked.

Fair play and good luck with it, they look sweet when done properly.

im assuming your going to join the old vento quarter with the golf one to make the desired quarter????
