Fill the filter with diesel and turn the engine over a few times with the throttle wide open. This is not a PD or common rail ?. Always fill the filter, so much easier.
No problem. It's alot easier on the battery and starter. On more modern diesel's, it's so import, as they can be impossible to start. On PD's the tandem pump can be damaged.
