I have just serviced my Caddy and gave it its long overdue new fuel filter. But when I went to start it it is obviously air locked. How do I solve that?

Perhaps I should have filled the fuel filter with diesel? Its one of those filters where the whole unit is unbolted and replaced with a complete new one.

All hoses etc were replaced correctly and securely.

HELP NEEDED!

QUOTE (johnny99 @ Jan 22 2006, 03:49 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>Fill the filter with diesel and turn the engine over a few times with the throttle wide open. This is not a PD or common rail ?. Always fill the filter, so much easier.

John

Sorted - thanks - ah well I will know the next time.
