Can someone point out to me

A The power steering pulley .... and

B The adjusting nuts for same

if they can be seen on this Gti engine pic.

The belt needs tightening - but as usual I prefer to hold an international summit meeting to discuss this delicate operation first.

Power steering pulley is the one on the bottom right if you are faceing the front of the engine. The adjuster is underneath the power steering pump and looks similar to the adjuster on the alternator. Sometimes this has been removed and there is a 13mm bolt only. You will need to loosen a few 13mm nuts or bolts that hold the pump in place so you can tighten the belt.

Exactly as John said, you'll have to loosen a few bolts. Jack the car up and go under the front righthand corner to access all the bolts.

Don't tighten the belt too much though or you could end up wearing a bearing out over time, just tighten it until you can just about twist the belt through 90* with your hand.
If you think the belt looks dodgy change it now seen as your goin at it anyway, they're only about 7 euro from the motor factors.
