These are a few places ive seen in the last few years that i think are worth the drive:

Father Teds House Co.Clare
Cliffs of Moher
Molls Gap Killarney
Conor Pass Dingle

All good drives with plenty of Photo ops!!

If you come to Cork go West.

I cant advise Cape Clear Island enough. Go to Skibereen and then onto Baltimore and head over on a ferry. Theres B and Bs there and a Hostel.

Or theres a small place past Skibereen called Castletownshend its a small village on the coast. Theres a pub in the village called Mary Anns its food is to die for. Its always a great hit with the ladies for me on about the 3/4 date....

What direction had you planned on going?

I can't but recommend the ring of Kerry, Conor's pass and Moll's Gap.
Plenty of nice hotels, B&B's and restaurants along the way too.

P.s. check the weather for your choosen area....you wouldn't want to be doing this on icy roads

Have to stop forgetting to log out on the lads PCs!!

Anyways, as Ive already mentioned! and to add....

Without doubt, the drive from Bantry to Kenmare, Kenmare to Killarney via molls gap, is without doubt, the best scenic, interesting and fun drive I have ever done in this country. 5 Stars! (Only bettered by the time I did it in a Lotus Elise!)

head north... Belfast for the day. stay in 10 squre hotel in the city center real good restraunt there to. Next day hit the Antrim coast road. Was up there a while back with herself class spot, theres a mad rope bridge, and the giants causeway of coarse! If ya like driving do the coast road!! think its about 60 miles or so, finish up in derry... stay there for the night then head south through donegal quick stop in harveys point for a bit of lunch. From there go to sligo.. Rosses point, strandhill, Go for a drive on the rally stage around lough gill then go home 3 days.. mighty!!

Another vote for West Cork and Kerry.

Head up Molls Gap, drop down into Kenmare and head for the Tim Healy Pass. I promise you that you'll go back for a second run at the Healy.

Well sighted corners, very very little local traffic and fairly good surface over the vast majority of it.
