There a lovely car but over rated imho... very hard to find a non oil burner in fairness!!!! The seats are savage comfy in them!!!!!

What ua doin with the seat by the way??

 

 

lovely car man,, my bro had one years ago,, i thought they were a very quick car for 1.6.. is it super strut suspension?? pain in the balls when that goes!

 

its quick for a 1.6 yeah, its revs up to 8500 i think and it has a good pull around 5000 think its when the 20v kicks in(so i was told), i threw the seat out mate sorry(black sparco seat in a skip in knocklyon)lol, and i bought the car off a lad in dublin(im second irish owner), it wouldnt be everyone's cup of tea but i love the japs too(vw still no.1 on the list tho) still have my 05 passat,the levin is a good car to clean up and id make money on it if i sold it so its a win win anybody else on here with a levin or jap car?

 

levins are a great car and by no means slow,,i had 2 20 valve one's and one supercharged one and i love them all,,i still have my 96 sti impreza that i love

 

they come with itb's as standard they need to be let out with a stand alone ecu and then they are very fast. had a twin cam with a black top in it before some yoke

 

I dont like them , but have to say there fast , drove one of these.

dead compared to? they are one of the quicker 1.6 cars, there is no standard 1.6 n/a vw that would touch it in acceleration, especially a bzr as they have an lsd as std.

 

Perhaps dead was a wrong choice of wording, what I really meant was they arent as fast as what they are hyped up to be, Ive been in plenty of 1.6 n/a's and this was the one I was most disappointed with, The pulsar being the best by far, of course a 1.6 vw isent anywhere near as quick they werent designed to be a fast car just a shopping cruiser.

id pick a sir over the vzr tbh

 

not sure exactly....but i was told that they are around 170bhp, not bad for a standard 1.6, its quick and its cheap to run....just the insurance part to worry about now, lol

 

had one of these myself great car for a 1.6

 

If I'm to be honest, I don't like these cars. They are not that "quick for a 1.6" imo.

My old TDI Bora was quicker then one or two that I met on a track outside Naas. Furthermore, they usually have a massive exhaust on them which deafen you when the driver is at 8k revs trying to get it to go anywhere. I feel the same about the older 20V Corollas. I'm just not a big fan of Toyota cars

But sure, once you're happy with it, that's all that matters. That's what I think anyway

in acceleration i was side by side with one in a 1.4 16v polo didnt pull on me one bit

 

they were prob 16 valves ones

 

lovely car mate engines are pretty bulletproof, lots of bits for them too, id keep the wheels though they look well on it, but id definately lose the red plug cover..... if ya interested i have a spare 20v blacktop here big ends on way out but its yours for 50 if ya want it

they handle really well and are a lovely confy jammer, has it stupidslut or standard suspension?

yeah i only realised what i said after posing..... theyre bulletproof if ya look after them and service them properly, hey take dogs abuse driving though....
