as most will know, i got the car keyed quite badly last year and i intend to get a full respray before the show season starts. when i say a full respray i dont intend to touch under the bonnet area at all. so im stuck with the flash red colour. is there anything different i can do to the paint, can i add metallic "bits" to the paint. i havent blown a gasket, dont worry, no flips or anything, just something subtle. had seen a mk4 indigo blue golf with what appeared to be metallic flakes sprayed into a clear coat over the original base coat. was not impressed by this at all. i know next to nothing about painting so......let the flaming begin!

you can get metal flakes added into the paint it was done with my grey mk3 i will be putting new pics up tmoro in members cars
