Hi all,

Fist post on the site but here goes

I'm buying a new Octavia in Jan 09 I was looking for some advice

I'm looking at the following Spec

Vrs Diesel 170 Bhp
Xenon Lights with Washer
Parking Sensors
18' alloy upgrade

My Budget is 29K. The above is coming in at 29K on the button. Should I be looking at any additional/different extras? (DSG box will not fit under budget)

Should I be holding out for the RS+ mid year? Will the pricing change for the RS+?

Finally, can I get a remap to bring the BHP over the 200BHP Mark? If so what kind of money am I look at to get it carried out?

QUOTE (razor @ Dec 26 2008, 02:21 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>the face lift is coming in Feb...so its up to u if u want to hold on,id say hold on.

I was talking to a Skoda dealer in Cork on Friday. He claims that there is no face lift coming. He contacted the factory and we may see one or two small extras inside but that's about it? Anyone with any further information? It's very hard to find out information from the Dealer, are they not in the loop at all?

I'm getting a bit turned off as a result!!! Is there a face life model coming in 09? Or is the current model getting some subtle changes?

Thanks

There is a facelift coming in the second half of 09. The Scout will get it then too.

The current 09 model comes with a new radio, steering wheel, ashtray cover, climate control unit and one or two other small interior changes. The exterior stays the same as the 06-08 model RS.

Which dealer was this?

Hold out and wait for the newer model and also I would be very cautious about what to believe what dealers say these days they would do anything for a sale....thats my opinion. By the time you come around to mapping it you will have the proper choices be it the new or the old model.
