Really surprised they didn't try better to keep the DSG GTD in band B. This will put people off the a brilliant gearbox.

Reversing camera is cool!

 

GTD should be 200bhp then it will sell!!!

I got a printed one in Western Motors about 3weeks ago

GTD tax will be €156, drove the one in Western Motors, nice car(except the wheels), not as nice as a GTi however considering that they are GTI money

 

i was told gtd dsg @ 38 and GTI DSG @ 41 - both 5 door.

 

GTD 2.0 170BHP manual starting at £22450stg. Havent heard an Irish price yet. Saw this in the north on monday

I was told that there is only about 2k in the difference of bog std 3dr GTI vs GTD, dont think the GTD is worth that.

They are still very different cars(diff exhaust layout/gti has 40bhp more/gti is lower...) so basically the GTD is just a GT Sport with a new badge(que the usual badge wingers

If we still had the old VRT rules the GTD would be dearer than a GTI(they would have the same VRT in old system whereas now the GTI has 24% vrt & the GTD only has 16%)

 

Ballsbridge Motors have a nice MKI GTI in the window with the new GTI beside it.. looks well. Still nobody in the showroom though!
