QUOTE (scallywag500 @ Apr 20 2011, 09:50 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>welcome Irish , car looks well , nice rs4's

rs4's r quiet badly scuffed n tarnished, i reckon last owner power washed them.

i contacted sp heat in waterford and they quoted me 360 to get a full refurbishment , only thing is, the polished finish on em now would be replaced with a gloss black paint job

Thats seems costly enough . that 360 would go a long way towards a new set of rims either. Black RS4s would look well though.

Welcome along dude,

Are the rs4's reps? I've gotten a few quotes from SP heat in waterford and they've always been overpriced. The lads are right in saying that the amount you'd be spending would be much better spent on another nice set of wheels. I'd avoid the LM reps personally, every man and his dog has them (even me for a while). There's laods of nice genuine wheels around that can be got for handy money at this stage!

im from south tipp, usualy around dere or waterford for work

regarding d alloys , there genuine to best of my knowledge.
i agree d lm's are becoming more n more common n ive seen em nearly in every colour by now, d worst being light blue "lm" centres on grey golf, not a pretty sight!!

just a quick mention too, im currently tryin to source new side skirts and keep runing into dead ends when purchasing on line , its a specific part so thats where my problem lies -
im looking for a skirt thats similar in shape to reigers gti as in original top pic (it rises at back wheel arch) but every other skirt is straight through from front to back. both options are very dear , buy n spray more rieger skirts for 600 or plain skirts n spray/lacquer entire rear panels at even more expense

budget is 300 . 400 tops

You'd get original GTi skirts in black for about €130 all in (I did) or I think the smooth, primered ones from R32 or 30th Anniversary Golfs are about twice that before paint-all main dealer.

I'll look into that , pierse motors would be closest to me ,I need dem to resolve warning light problem too, error for lights is constantly on

Oh and thanks for welcome lads
