What is she? From the last pic the exhausts are the same length from what I can see, 328i?

 

I'd also like to know what engine you have.
I had an M3 of the same generation in the states and I loved that car!

lads your givin this lads car an awful hard time when he wasn't the one who made the narrow minded comment. however the main point here is that this is a vagsite and i do agree with you about that. going by wat happened over the "german car" meet fiasco if one of us posted one of our cars up there we would be non too happy. lol. nice car though. i've been one and they seem comfortable and i think they look well, but i found them to feel kinda big with all the negative connotations you might associate with that. well wear though.

People have pointed out that this car is a 318is and that it's slow, that's all

Rob suggested that the mods were narrow minded and apart from that people said that it was a nice car.

What I would like to say is that I don't understand why people post up photos of their "other marques" here when this is a VAG site.
I do not post photos of my Golfs on other specific car web-sites (even though my Golf is on BMW-driver!), as I would expect them
to be not so happy

I think that people on here don't mind seeing unusual stuff from other brands, but not regular cars that we see everyday

wel maybe you should have a word with the mods about removing the "other makes" section of the forum. i for one dont mind as i have an interest in cars in general, especially older ones. i own 4 different brands of cars.

 

I don't want the "other makes" section removed, so won't be asking the Mods to remove it.
Maybe the site is going down the road of being a general car site where all makes and models are discussed........

 

I don't have a problem personally with other makes being posted, I merely posted up the engine size as there was speculation as to what it was.

I personally like the car in question, well more how it looks, having never driven one I can not comment on the performance aspect. Granted its not a VAG car while this is a VAG site, but so what, surely if someone does not want to look they do not have to?

 

IIRC werent the 318is (Note the "s" for sport.) 140BHP ? Not as slow as your regular 318, with around 115/120BHP.

They are not a slow car by any means.Dont mock it until you try it.
And further more i bet you that this man TED probally knows more about vw,s than most of the people on this site,
so give him a break you never know you might need his knolage some day.

Fuck sake lads, chill the fuck out. The only problem any of the people who run this fuckin site have with this whole thread is the fact we where called narrow minded, thats all, nothing to do with the car at all.

On the Beemer front, George said he drove one, bought one and had it for a while, from his experience it was slow, from my experience they wouldn't set the world on fire. Big car, small engine. Same goes for some VW's. Will we get slated for saying they're slow? No, it's only cos this car isn't a VW that you're all having a rant. Cop on.
