Which would you get considering the car* is a daily driver, covers about 12-13K miles a year and I want the tyres to last a year at least?

*Octavia RS Mk2.

Take a look at Michelins too Trevor - are you buying these from Keith?

Makes sense - he'll just need to open a Southern branch !

Rossos get rave reviews too but for overall grip (wet and dry) and lower road noise Michelins stole it for me when I was buying. Always a fan of Michelin and very happy with my set up over the previous Contis.

Any particular reason you are limiting yourself to Pirellis Trevor? not that the are a bad tyre.

Rofl @ mike.

I have had 2 sets of neros now and couldn't fault them but I have no idea how many miles they do cause the 16v got sold when I had about 4k miles on them and the colourconcept has about 2k miles done on them. Great grip in the wet and dry though.

rossas all the way excellent wearing tyre and great in both wet and the dry,
if you happen to stumble accross some older p9000 stuff cause theres alot of it about,
there cheaper tread pattern is older looking but same as above great all round tyre at a lower price.

I thought you couldn't get a better tyre than a nankang?

Anything but a poxy nankang.

Do you hate the english so much you never learned to read their language? As Geo said I gave my opinion on the neros because I have had 2 sets at this stage but I do have a reasonable knowledge about what is a good tyre and what is a bad one.

Nankang's are a brilliant cheap tyre if your only interested in burning them off the car drifting or the like.
On a normal car from experience they're pure utter shite, in the wet they're a bloody danger and even in good conditions I'd not rely on them either.

Given the above feedback from people, we're curious to know what's worse than Nankangs?

Had a look on this place out of curiosity, my tyre size is 225/40/18 quite a common size I thought, it I were to buy off this place I'd have no option only to buy a set of Nankangs for €85 as there's nothing else available in the other brands!!
