Had mine in for the NCT a couple of weeks ago and asked the same question, there needs to be 10cm clearance at the front to get the car onto the rollers. The NCT guy said they only get one or two cars a year that won't go onto the rollers.

so do you have to raise it up at all so, would they just skip that bit

I didn't do anything with mine and it went on no problem. Measure the bottom of your front bumper to the ground, once there is more then 10cm it should be fine.

Yeah that's a lot lower then my car alright, I would ask them before you hand the car over. Can you raise it up an inch or two for the test?

When I was doing my NCT a guy in there had to take the front bumper of his little rice rocket because it was so low. Passed him all the same.

Anyway whats the story if the car cant get up on the ramp , will they let u take off the lip spoiler (talking abour mk3 where its easy to do) or u have to do the retest ?
