Cheers Lads, the bay windows turnd out well, I drew the plans to save a few quid so I am happy the way it turned out. Yep thats me with the ladder, doing as much bits as I can to keep the cost down so 16/17 hr days have become the norm! But over the christmas I need to chase it and break the floor for the plumbing and then its on to stripping the MKII for the cage at last a bit of time.
The MK1 wings, yep I got genuine but the front panel is no longer available from VW but GPC have them so I will get it sorted after Christmas, the wings, bonnet, front panel, bottom of doors, sunroof and the windscreen is being removed and all getting a lick of paint.
The garage is starting after christmas, As I said I drew the plans so herself has a nice sized walkin wardrobe BUT on the condition that I get a car lift in the garage which will have central heating and then a turf shed with a LARGE extension (for the MKI) will be going up in the summer.
BUT I have to hand it to herself because she doesn't mind me spending my OT money on my cars mostly. Sounds a bit under the thumb but if you admit it most of us are!!!!
''I hope you have nice big patio doors at the back of the gaff so you can bring the mk1 into the sitting room during the winter ''
The roof is only covered not even a week and there is a MKII interiour up there already, the sebrings I like too but I dont think I will get them over the brembo's. I am going to try to get them over 15'' on 280mm purely because 15'' track day tyres are cheaper but I might have to go 16'' and seat discs. My clittle cousin is an apprentice something but is handy with a lathe so the brackets will be whatever size I want.
