i always like a car that someone really likes and puts a lot of effort into it regardless of what car ir is. well done its a very clean example from the pics

#4 ·
Yes it is indeed the Sr20
Image
It made 146.6bhp on the dyno thats with no modifications at all bar a K&N panel filter
Image
Judging it was 143 from the factory i was delighted with that result..

This car was never modified / tracked / boy raced.... I am the second owner from New

My mother in law has a Primera Sri with the Sr20De engine in it. Its a very torquy engine, great low power and quick too. Ive heard most of them have more than the stated figures. They are light enough too. I love driving it, as standard it comes with front and rear strut braces too so it handles well for what it is.

Cheersn Lads.. Much appreciated

Yea there is serious torque in it.. The almera is such a light car.. what every gear your in it pulls strong.... factory figured state 0-60mph in 7.9 seconds and 140mph... they can be made far quicker buy 4 brnach decat etc but to be honest it's fast / lively / handles well and returns 35 miles per gallon while driving reponsibly so i have no intedtion of changing it

QUOTE (tommy1980 @ Jul 26 2011, 08:19 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>had a few almera's before all 1.4 twin cam . quick as well , but if I had the money i'd buy a nice vzr n1 red top almera with 198 bhp from a naturally aspired 1.6 engine . they are a bit rare as well
a friend of mine has one of these in white, mint car and quick. he had a black one before this he imported them himself

Cheers Pal... the engine bay was a bit of work alrite
Image
More tedious than anything.. but soon i will take the rocker cover off and polish it properly

Oh yes.. the N1's are super super rare.. hard to find a good one.. and if you do expect to pay round the 5k mark.. and 8 - 10k for N1 Version 2

Is that the black one that would always be outside mass in Granard on a Sunday morning?

Bit of an update here.... Got the car undersealed
Image
Got it done with a company in dublin
Image
Excellent work... and a five year warranty... So all ready for the winters ahead... Much to my suprise there was only surface rust on the body which was cleaned down / treated / undersealed and he also put cavity wax into the rear struts too... he said that the surface wouldn't have been another 2 - 3 years beacuse it would be a problem. So overall very Happy

Here's a few pics of the work..
