Crappy pics, only camera I could get is in work so it's neither washed or scenic but you'll get the idea.

Got 29mpg average from it in the port tunnel on cruise today.

It's actually a very forgiving car with the DSC on - there's three levels of assistance with it. It'll let you step out a little but will bring you back in very subtly.

M button beside shifter on, accelerator set to sport, suspension set to sport and the M button on the steering wheel pressed and my God it's just insane.

Good stuff Mark. I'm sure the V8 is a nice step-up from the 6 cylinder!

QUOTE (Geo @ Feb 14 2009, 03:41 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>Lovely car Mark, best of luck with it.

How do you find the n/a power delivery compared to the turbo engine in the 335?

Actually this is the first non-turbo car you've had in a long long time isn't it?

First since the fiesta if i remember rightly

How are you finding it over the 335 drive wise, power delivery wise etc? Are you back at square one with pesky run flats again?

Well wear mark.

I know BMWs may get a mixed reaction on this site but IMO M series BMWs are superb machines.

Health to enjoy Mark.

What were you thinking of when you bought a fiesta !? :)

It's funny you should say that George I was only thinking today myself it's the first NA engine since my Focus and that was 2002. It's not a huge difference in the M3 as there's so much torque it's only very low down that being in the wrong gear can leave you in a flat spot but even in 6th from low revs it pulls and once you have the full M gear on it'll just jump at the slightest tap. I haven't had the road space to get it over 5k and it goes to 9.

It's almost as economical as the 335 which is just amazing for a car with 420 bhp.

There's no spare but there is a tyre weld kit in the boot and I can't see RFT anywhere on the tyres, they're those Michelin Cup tyres, they're semi slick but the ride quality is unbelievable compared to the 335.
