You cant go wrong with a white mk2, but this might be the difference between good and great (ill reserve my judgement until I see it in person hopefully).

Youll have the purest fan (-atic) cringing at the bumpers but how bad.

Was it recently resprayed? Also, how did you blacken the inside of the headlamps?

I think it looks very nice. White looks the business on a MK2. Is there a build thread for this car?

Please don't take this the wrong way I'm just expressing an opinion - it does look well on the big bumpers but it's such an early edition I would love to see this car on small bumpers though even if it meant bringing up a set and putting them on for you just to see how it would look

id agree with mike small bumpers are the biz on the early mk2. No matter how well my mk2 would look with big bumpers i wouldnt fit them and id have standard lights on it but everyone to their own taste

 

kinda agree with the lads i'm afraid. if that reg was 88 onwards or something,it would be perfect..but because its the early type mk2 it really does need small bumpers. each to their own though,and it is a minter by the looks of it. well wear.

Are those ATS 8 inch wide? they look sweet how did you get your hands on them?

No build tread, ive done alot of work underneat the car all new bushings, bearings, coilovers and 16v brakes so its very tight to drive now, its not as tidy close it was resprayed at some stage i'd guess over ten years ago a few bits need touching up and the bootlid needs a respray and new window surround sticker.

Its had the later doors and bumpers fitted by a previous owner in the uk, i may change it back at some stage but i probably couldnt use these wheels with the small arches.

The headlights were tinted from new with the crosshairs also, got on ebay, and the rears i want to change for 16v ones.

I'm sure we can have a mini meet for some pic's shane

 

Looks great, good work. I love sill covers and no mouldings.

Cheers. She's been flat out around Drawda alright lol, was off work this week so was out and about in it alot.

big bumper kit gives it a more euro smooth look sitting low on a set of D dish wheels ,very nice

Few small updates new plates. rear light and red grille strip and yes the car's dirty

Still needs rear hatch and a few bits painted will get it done soon hopefully.
