Thought I might as well throw up a thread to watch my own progress as well as for you guys.

Bought about 6 weeks ago totally standard (still is

Just two pics to start off with, more to come!

Plan is for some new shoes and a drop.

Then move onto some other touches like a anni rear valance or possibly a full kit.

Thanks for looking!

You might consider painting the grille like that, Makes a huge difference to silver mk4s Imo

Thanks, still unsure about painting the grille black. I like the silver alot

Small update.
Bought a set of german style plates of Trevor during the week but hadn't a chance to fit them until today. Decided to get the dashes and the whole lot so as to not draw too much attention to them. Great service from Trevor and he answered all my queries quickly.

Meant to give the car a good wash before sticking them on but the weather has been crap so I went ahead and fitted them today. They're a nice and subtle mod imo.

Also bought a new HU which has a ful RGB colour range so I can match the interior clocks and switches well. Got the wrong aerial adaptor with it so will have to wait to have it fitted properly. Anybody with a golf cubby hole for a DIN space let me know because I will have the CD player taken out now too.

Image

All phone pics so apologies for that but cba trying to find my sisters camera!

Wheels should be coming along soon enough from Keith too

Little update !
The old aerial was a little worse for wear so decided to get a new one.

Seller reportedly gets these from the oem manufacturer's source. It does feel like a quality one but will have to be tested !

Thinking about de wipering and debadging the car. It has no spoiler to begin with and I think it could look really clean.
Thoughts?

I think the silver ones look a bit classier than the black ones.get the ole angle grinder to your springs and that would sort that out for ya

H&R Cup Kit would sit it down just nice

That's what I fitted over the weekend (also from Keith
Image
) Amazing ride quality, mostly country roads I'd be on and very happy with them, would definitely recommend them. Good choice not going for cheap budget tyres too

Thanks! Not very low! Just something enough to stop it looking like a tractor! I'm thinking along the same lines as that H&R cup kit too.

Did you go for the comfort set yeah? I don't want to compromise the ride quality too much so I think a H&R cup kit rather than adjustable coilovers are the way to go.
