Need to replace front shocks and spring, nothing fancy just direct replacement for what's on it. Got a quote off a local lad for Monroe shock + springs.
Does anyone know anything about Monroe?

If you're going with Monroe pay a little extra for the 'Sensatrac' option. These have better damping properties than the standard replacement units.

We use them all the time in various makes and find them good.

Having said that maybe there is a better option for you in this case, have you considered upgrading your suspension given the fact that you are already having to buy 2 shocks and a spring? For an extra few quid you could buy something like a H&R cup kit which is far superior to the standard setup.

Thanks for the info lads, I just wasnt sure if I was been given something a bit sub standard.

Geo - The only reason I didnt consider an upgrade was really just down to the price but if the price is right I'll defo consider.

Keith - I see you have an offer on your website for the H&R Comfort Cup Kit, would these be suitable for my yoke? (mk4 150tdi but running 190bhp) Also what sort of price is fitting? I dont really want to change the ride height from standard so would that change or are these adjustable?
