Hi all,

as some of you may know I've been trying to get a set of R32 brakes onto my Skoda Octavia. My local skoda dealer kindly offered to put them on but when they did they discovered that the brake disc (334mm) was physically touching the caliper and so we had to abandon the project as I needed the car for the Inters. They recommended getting an Engineering firm to take the last 3-4mm off the disc and everything then should work perfectly. I had two sets of r32 discs and they were the same size.

What do people think?

I tried to take a few mm of a brake disc before on a lathe and the discs absolutely ate through the lathe bits,it will need to be a specialist engineering outfit with seriously tough bits!

Its so long ago John i can't remember,i just went in to one of the machines in work and went at it.In fairness i didn't even try any different bits.I'm sure carbide or similar would easily be up to the job.
