Is there a little switch down on the B pillar? Covered in a rubber boot?

 

if the light isnt coming it means the lock is the problem there is a guide some where on how to fix it something to do with dry solder

 

Sound lads, must search for it.

 

Am sure the door light switch is integrated into the lock catch mechanism?? Shoot me if I'm wrong...

no your right and theyre about 100quid to replace

 

As has been said the door open switch is located with in the door lock mechanism.

I have a guide on how to fix it which I'll post up when I find it. It's a pain as the whole door needs to be stripped down and the joints in the lock re soldered. If you are doing it change the window carriers to the new metal type also while you are in there.

Lol, i just changed the window regulator and there's no way i'm going diggin into that door again haha. That locks mechanism is a balls. Sound anyway lads, my curiosity sorted, i'd glue a torch to the door before i'd take it off again
