QUOTE (decigil @ Apr 8 2011, 09:08 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>well lads one of the bolts of my engine mount snapped today and the end of it snapped in the block what can i do
Geo, crying is for the weak

Dec, drill it, and use a stud extractor to remove stud. Obviously, making room/gaining access as you go for all this to happen whatever that involves.

Drilling may not be an option unless you remove the engine. Depends on which bolt it is really, one of them in particular would be next to impossible to get a drill onto.

So which one is it and did it snap flush with the face of the block or leave you anything to work with?

Well the bottom bolt is the easiest one to get at but still a lot of work. You will need to take off the engine mount bracket, which will probably mean removing the timing belt. Then you have 2 options, try to drill it and use a stud remover or else try and weld something like a nut onto the top of it to get it out that way. Either way it's not a nice job to have to face.
