For Sale Mk4 golf rear brake calipers and caliper carriers. These are a popular upgrade from Corrado, Mk2 and early Mk3 golf items as the handbrake mechanism is better and doesn't tend to seize like the older design. Banjo bolts included and I also have a set of good secondhand pads if needed.

Is it just the handbrake that is better or the pedal as well Oisin? My brakes are very good but the handbrake could be better.

well, i can definitely say the pedal is better,
but my hand brake cables(new) are still in the boot, for the last 2 weeks!
one of the old ones was seized, only €40 for both in agri auto(motor factors)

Just to let you know, i threw in another bit on changing handbrake cables with the new calipers to that How To thread, so it might be worth a read, the new handbrake cables are a lil different to the old originals. And shorter!

what pads do you use with these ? Wondering if I need to get mrk iv pads as mrk 2 disks are different.

Mk2 pads I believe, mk4 ones won't work as the disc is thinner.

Are you still having problems with your pedal?

to bleed them properly take the calliper off its mounting bracket as the bleeder is not the highest point when fitted to the mk2
