Mk4 Golf Gti Red I

Friends lookin at a gti, just wondering what exactly the red I means over a non red I?

Means nothing, Check the sticker in the boot for the engine code, Anyone can stick a red I on a 150.

I think it might be K03 in 150bhp and K03s in 180.

Oh yeah and check the sticker, as said above anyone can change the badge.

i had a 2002 silver gti and it was 150bhp. i now have a 2000 gti red i and its 150 bhp 5 speed . the 180 was brought out in 2002-2003 as far as i know, and it had 6 speed.

ah dude. i feel my car is so missing the 6th gear. i do heaps of motorway driving.

might have a gander round to see if it can get a 6speed box for it.

the mk4 i had before was mapped around 195-200 by revo. it was a standard 150. maybe the 180s have a different ecu. but im not sure!
