okay, i have this gearbox left over from the conversion bits i got, i wont be using it so does anyone here want it?

o2a box from a mk3 16v abf.
cant remember the exact miles on it but it was around 80-100k from what i can remember.

the car was driven back from the uk with no issues and i drove it myself before the owner took the car to pieces.
the only thing that was a miss was loose linkages at the time so the gearbox should be mint,
no crunching into gears.

i also have a clutch and flywheel that came off the abf aswell if needed.

im looking 250 but very open to offers as i've no real idea what its worth.
its located in offaly but i can travel to meet in some instances (dublin, laois, westmeath, kildare or anywhere in between)

could arrange to get it to other places/meet somewhere too if it was a must.

I have heard something similar, to the best of my knowledge it was only been done in mk3's because it retains the original gear selector and stuff - I think the last one I seen had vr6 ratio's swapped in which are supposed to work very well with a 1.8t.

I think what you need is a touran box, from a 2.0tdi model. I don't know the code but I'd think thats what your looking for.
If your thinking of using a 225 BAM code would Leon cupra R 'box not work?

IIRC yes, but you don't see those popping up everyday
