Right it seems almost impossible to wire up a rev counter to work with the 20v conversion on the mk2, the tacho converter boxes wont work properly, and most people seem to have this opinion too. So im wondering does anyone know of a way to wire up a shift light?

Know it seems tacky but id rather have some indication of where the 6500rpm is, so i know when to shift up without constantly over revving.

I think Geo was telling me about a converter from jabbasport that converts from digi to analogue before worth sending him a PM about it

ive been through all this crap trying to get a working rev counter on my mk1 with factory management, ive tried 4 different convertor boxes and even tried the diode diagram on dubforce none of it worked properly, jabba or emerald wont gaurantee their convertor boxes will work with factory management they just said buy it and try it but you cant return it, it seems to be the 4 pin coilpack that are the problem, @geo has kevins car got 3 pin coil packs and cable throttle?agu?

none of the convertor boxes that change digital to analogue worked for me, i used a box that i wired in series to the positive of the coilpacks and it drives the revcounter, even at that the wiring had to be modified to make it work as it was getting backfeed from somewhere else and the needle was going spastic, its working perfectly now

gavin im ordering another one of these boxes for eoin do you want one too?
